The Coach Kirk Foundation was created to carry on the legacy of Coach Jimmy Kirk, a dedicated teacher, mentor, and coach who devoted his life to helping kids grow both in the classroom and through sports. Coach Kirk made a lasting impact everywhere he went, whether at school, on the field, or in the lives of every student who crossed his path.
He served as an ESE paraprofessional, PE teacher, and coach in football, basketball, and lacrosse. More than any title, he was known for how he treated people. Coach Kirk had a way of making every kid feel like they mattered. He believed in second chances, hard work, and the importance of showing up.
The foundation continues that mission by creating opportunities for kids to learn, play, and grow through sports and mentorship. We host community sports camps and programs that teach more than just the game. We aim to build teamwork, confidence, leadership, and the mindset to overcome challenges.
Coach Kirk always aimed to leave things better than he found them. That is the standard we hold ourselves to for every kid, every camp, and the community we serve.
